Default First Regular Used Defender on BAT

BAT has shunned L663's.

Except for a brand new 30th anniversary edition that some flipper barely broke even on and a new V8 007, the only actually used Defender to ever move through BAT was a wrapped V8 with a bunch of mods including some really interesting seats.

Here goes their first just used Defender listing.

A '20 110 P400 SE with a couple dozen thousand miles, a roof rack that has never held anything, a ladder that hasn't been climbed, and a storage box that probably contains a bag of left-over extra screws and the installation manuals for a roof rack, a ladder, and a storage box.

Maybe BAT was right to let them go to Cars & Bids. At least this one is interesting. The raised air intake in California is for frequent dusty desert runs. The wheels are...

All the extra black paint with the yellow tow-hooks and calipers kinda pops though in the emo weather photo-shoot.

Any guesses on the final bid?

I'm going to guess $60k and RNM.

Pinkish 90s mcmansions in the background are inspiring, though.

Bite your tongue. If this doesn't clear the reserve, it would get pretty bleak for us on BAT for sure.

We might have to wait until Defender bids, with 5 hours left in the auction, are roughly equivalent to the cost of a brake job, a saggy airbag, and a few hours for a tech to figure out why the steering wheel stopped working.

This could be all of us.

It almost assuredly will be! New land rovers aren't supposed to appreciate.

:roflmao:

But, but we’re different! This will never happen to the defender! Impossible!

It’s at $65k with 4 days left. I am going to guess $90k.

I am on my third defender.

Early 65 bid is especially strong for an auction with an as-of-yet absentee seller.

I once thought I was taking this trash home for a day or two. It might have been a joke I pulled on my wife but, a man's word and all... I would have been terrorizing my entire neighborhood in that baby Fiero.

That would have been awesome for sure!

As for defenders I think they will hold up for a while. We bought our first D90XD in November of 21 at MSRP. Traded it back to the dealer in sept of 22 for original MSRP and bought an X for MSRP. Traded it back to the dealer in December 22 for MSRP and bought our V8 for MSRP. I suspect that I will sell or trade it back late this year and rinse and repeat but may be wrong?

Prices did come down on a lot of less-desirable vehicles as rates have ticked up but it really seems like they're pushing higher again. This isn't a soft landing. It's a balked landed.
