Default Footwell & trunk lights upgrade - $32 @ PowerfullUK

Truly easy and great upgrade for both the footwell (select red/white or blue) that turns bright (white) when you open a door.

Order LLK110-WRB-KIT

Replacing the trunk pair on either side also makes them 3x or 4x as bright. The total time taken to upgrade all four lights was maybe three minutes, and I took my time.

Super easy / simple, just use a interior trim pop tool, Flat screwdriver or even butterknife is all you need, prefer something plastic just to be extra careful not to scratch anything or if you have never tried. Each of them pops out slightly assemetric, one short side or the other.

It was 24.17£ which is only $32 but shipping is best added to something else that you need like the SkyHook set (LRDI596-KIT) for your loadspace ($36) or aux backup / reverse lights around $80, LLM804-WW-KIT. There are combined amber or red instead of all "white" for the same price for aux turn signals as well.

I added the red lights from PowerfulUK and agree that it's a really simple and inexpensive upgrade. Especially for those without the premium lighting option. I chose the all red all the time version as the transition to white was just too bright for me. (I'll probably rethink that the day I drop something in the dark &#128512

Thanks for the tip! I have their rear overhead cargo-space light, and their backup lights. Just ordered the brighter footwells that you recommend, as well as that skyhook kit. Don't get me started on the craziness of the attachment mechanism for the OEM cargo net! As Simon put it so well, those are difficult to install and easy to accidentally pull out, just the OPPOSITE of what you want.

Exactly what I thought. I have that to install, but I am not sure if I need it with the 12-LED ones which are very bright.

If you mean the overhead rear lighting, it’s worth putting in if you already have it because being up high it doesn’t get blocked by any cargo you have in the back.

Almost said exactly that above. If you have a lot of recovery gear (or very limited like my 90) it makes sense. Those two on either side in the loadspace are pretty low, near the floor.

Another member had the brilliant idea to add a switch to the overhead rear cargo light. I added a switch and couldn't be happier.

I did as well, but to be perfectly honest, I have never switched it off. Would have saved myself the trouble if I had realized this. It just seems completely natural and normal back there with the door open and light on, not like a Soviet interrogation room or anything.

Effectively spent SUN afternoon
I've removed the trunk upper trim and carved openings for 2 LED slim lights.
All well placed and the trunk got extra lightning

Some hot glue helps to fix the lights
