Fridge with Comfort & Convenience Pkg
While I wait, I'm thinking about adding the Comfort & Convenience Pkg (center fridge & upgraded interior lighting).
Anybody have this fridge? My dealer has never seen one and I'm trying to figure figure out how much it holds and how well it works.

My model has these items come standard. I have seen a few videos on you tube that have shown them. It looks decent to hold several drinks. You can turn it off when you dont need it.
Regarding the lighting I have seen alot of people recommended it. The standard lighting without the upgraded package is said to be dim. The separate colors look pretty neat.

Mine came with both as well. The lighting is a nice feature. So many people comment on the fridge when they see the interior of the car. Odd, I had one on my Land Cruiser for 13 years and never used it once but so many people said, "that's cool!"
I now must order it if only to use that bad dad pun.
We've used our fridge to keep drinks cool on long trips. It's much improved over the center console fridge in the LR4. Not only does it keep drinks ice cold, but it can also hold regular sized drinks. As far as the lighting, there is a turquoise color that really looks nice.
Coming from an LR4 with the mini-fridge cooler box it was a must-have for me. I'm frequently on the road for business and it is great for keeping a sandwich and water bottle cool. Keeps chocolate chip cookies from melting as well. LR4 cooler just had an on and off button. Defender cooler has 2 temperature settings and is larger & deeper as well. Can hold 4 water bottles if just storing water.
I have both and like both. The fridge holds maybe four or bottles of water or four to six cans of soda, depending upon size. It's better at keeping things cold rather than making them cold, but it does work, and the interior lighting with the ability to change color and intensity is neat.

I love my fridge. Great for road trips and does get items quite cold if you've been driving for a bit. I do feel like there's a lack of hidden storage (driver accessible) though with the fridge. I haven't seen a Defender without a fridge but I'm sure hoping its storage.
Not ordering the comfort and convenience package was my only regret. I had it in my old RRS and used out a lot. As others have said, in the older cars the fridge was not deep enough for things like bottled water. The fridge in the Defender is deeper and so even more useful.
i didn’t care for the multicolored lightning—we had it in our F-Pace and never used it. So I didn’t like paying for a $1,100?? fridge. In hindsight I was not thinking it through. 😕
