My go to option, just snap on the amber covers and run with fogs and parking lights..

 

$20 solution from Lamin-X has worked great for me. (Daytime pic so not the best example, but you get the idea).

How long have you had the film in place? Has it lasted and performed well,

Has it made a material difference in foggy conditions?
I ask since I find the clear factory solution less than ideal and have considered film covers as an economical test condition vs. a physical light swap. Don’t get a lot of fog here but when it happens I’d prefer a better solution than what’s factory.

 

Huc, I've had the Latin-X film installed on my Defender for about a year and a half. It works just as you'd imagine. It's never too foggy here in socal, but the yellow light does cut through the marine layer that rolls in during the evenings/early mornings. Plus, bonus points for also providing a little extra layer of rock protection to the glass lenses.

I had the same brand installed on another vehicle for an exceptionally long time. The first pair did get burnt/discolored from some extra hot halogen bulbs immediately after installing them. The company sent me a replacement set with no questions asked, which I never had a problem with after swapping to a lower wattage bulb for the next ten or so years. This is just for reference - it will not be a problem with our LED fogs.

It's 20 bucks. Give it a shot while you consider other options. Can't go wrong.

Exactly what I did and it works pretty well. better than the standard white fogs

 

I did the LaminX as well. I live in the snowbelt and can attest that it's much better with the yellow fogs on in the snow. Now that said... if it's hammering down you'll still have the same issue with any distance view. Stay off the high beams, they will only cause the warp speed viewing.

 

Yes, I use yellows in all my vehicles… and I lower the aim of the fogs another few degrees.
But I also found auxillary lights (not led) have better penetration.
