Default Front lights acting wacky

Gentlemen, yesterday I noticed my right side DRL and Halo light was out. Started doing research based on that, but today I see both the left and right are acting crazy. Sometimes the left halo works, sometimes not. The fog light will come on erratically.
The only constant is the headlights work and the turn signals work.
Im assuming it must be a module of some sort. Any suggestions before I call the dealer? Luckily I have an extended warranty and hopefully it applies. 🤞
thanks.

Definitely take it to the dealer and have them replace both headlights under warranty. Those are expensive items. Once they start acting up, the halo will go out eventually.

My driver's side LED DRL started acting just like that right before it completely crapped out and needed to be replaced. See if your extended warranty covers (or mostly covers) the headlight. If not, you can replace the LED module circuit board yourself for like $50.00. Of course, you have to take apart the headlight (that's not designed to be disassembled) and put it back together, and you do risk causing more damage especially if it isn't sealed back up properly.

I'd take it to the dealer first to see if they'll cover it before tackling the project on your own.

One thing I was unsure about researching the Powerful UK module replacement. It seems as though that only deals with the non-working Halo light and not the DRL...or am I mistaken?

The halo lights and the DRLs (daytime running lights) are the same thing.

I thought so, but this is the reason for my confusion.
I have an appointment for the dealer for Monday, we’ll see what they say. I just like to be as prepared and informed as possible.

If it's happening to both lights. And the fog lights. It may not be the light units themselves. Could be a wiring harness issue or the BCM. Would definitely have dealer diagnostics before throwing parts at it..

To follow up on this for others who might experience this issue. Firstly, I was wrong my front lights were NOT acting wacky. It was my wife and my miscommunication while testing the lights out. Better to park in front of a storefront and look at the reflection yourself.😉

My right side Halo light was out and the DRL lights were also out. I contacted Powerful UK about their repair module they sell for the Halo light. They confirmed it does not address the DRL not working, but they hope to investigate and come up with a similar solution in the future.

Thanks to an extended warrantee I thankfully bought from the dealer, my headlight replacement cost me nothing. I was so surprised and prepared to spend a fortune. My warrantee is through DOWC (dealer owned warrantee company) which the dealer recommended and sold to me.
A big shout out to Land Rover Princeton (NJ). They have been great to deal with, best dealership experience I’ve ever had.

DRL is halo.

the two square lights will turn on when you first turn on the lights but then will go out. You won’t need to do anything to the square lights. Once the halo DRL module is back working the two square lights will remain on.

easy to check this.

turn on your lights. Your squares will be on for a few seconds.

Again. DRL = halo plus square. But only the halo fails. When folks talk about failed DRL they mean the halo.

I have no idea why the squares go on and then off with a failed halo but this is exactly what happens.

repair of halo is less than $10. Mine was $3
