Front Window Tint
In some states, having full tint almost guarantees you’ll have a gun pulled in your face for a simple traffic stop. Cops hate full tint, and you would too if you had to pull people over in a country with more guns than people. It also sucks for other people trying to see if you see them, like pedestrians, bikers, and other drivers at 4 way intersections. There are really good reasons for tint laws. I wish they would enforce them more. I almost got flattened by an idiot who wasn’t looking at an intersection but I couldn’t see that he was looking away because of his stupid tint. Obviously I hate the stuff.
As for being stopped by popo, there are readily available guidelines i recommend you follow—esp. if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of driving a car with say 25% tint. Along with getting you drivers license and insurance docs out ready, you should turn on your interior light, lower your driver or passenger side window and place your hands on top of your steering wheel. Go to <state>.gov and run a search on subject of being stopped by police.
Also, I would suggest you go get motorcycle safety lessons, you will learn a lot about the dangers of other road users and how to read the intentions of others. If everyone learnt to ride a motorcycle we would have far fewer accidents on the road than we do now.
Btw, what’s with the gun comment? Are you running for Governor or something?
She looks great. I wasn't aware of the % from the factory - that helps a great deal as I plan for tinting of the driver/passenger windows. Here in Arizona, it is unbearable if you don't have window tint. State law is 33% for driver/passenger and no limit on the rest. I typically do 28% so it is nice to see it will be a match with the factory rear tint.
We’ll know the reboot Defender is finally being used for it’s intended purpose when there are threads about REMOVING the tint in the rear, not adding more to the front.
I hate the rear tint, and am currently exploring options to get new glass made for the rear, with no tint. Then I’ll give the whole truck the lightest ceramic tint possible… cut the UV and heat, but maintain the classic Defender look.
Dark tint is for Range Rovers with 24” wheels and slicks. Not Defenders.

Sounds like however you use it, it meets its purpose.
With that said, you do you.
All I’m saying is that limo rear tint is a strange choice for an off-road vehicle like the Defender. Rear and surround cameras are great, but they also fail. Limo tint makes it pretty hard to navigate a trail. There is a very good reason the original Defender did not have rear limo tint.

this looks great! What rims are those? And is that a hint of bronze in the color?
