Hi guys and ladies. Ebay has a set of led yellow front fog lights for the new Defender. Its a plug and play. However I dont see any easy way to access the back of the fogs to remove then and do the yellow ones. Anyone done this or have an explanation how to access them?

 

Why downgrade to a yellow?

 

Well. Here is N cal we get some heavy fog. Yellow is much better in cutting thru fog than white for fog lights.

 

I prefer yellow fog lights in blizzard conditions as well. Was pretty easy to swap the bulbs on our old LR4 but not on the Defender.

May take the easy way out with Lamin-x yellow film on the Defender.

 

Humm. Good idea. Think I’ll try the film.

 

Even if it isn't my jam, I LOVE seeing folks modify their Defenders to personalize it the way they want. I am SO happy that companies are starting to provide things to personally "improve" these vehicles even though JLR makes it such a pita. The only thing I like more: personal innovations such as these! Thanks for sharing.

Personal note: it wasn't that long ago that PowerfulUk was one of the few accessory providers and they listed everything on their website for the L663 on ONE page! Lucky8 was one of the first to have serious customized options and NewDefendersMods was worth the shipping! (Sorry guys, you STILL have some of the best mods but I weep re: the shipping costs from AU to US).

 

Powerful UK has a video to remove them. It isn’t terrible but it’s also not a great time. I removed mine to put film on thinking it’d be a bit easier but I don’t think it’s worth it. I have a few bubbles on the edge of my film and when I redo it, I’m just going to remove the front trim but not the entire fog light
