It seems that the MY26 models in South Africa, same as UK models, are also locked out from CCF changes via GAP tool..

 

I'm not trying to portray this as your position on the matter, but I always scoff at the false and utterly ridiculous position that in order to enhance "security", you have to lock out, restrict, deny or otherwise en****ify the user/consumer experience. Whether these measures are handed down from an unelected government bureaucracy/agency or from the top floor of the Corporate Legal department - I just don't buy it.

At work whenever I get on the phone with network security to talk about something of mine that they broke by implementing some kind of blanket firewall rule without a proper impact analysis - I tell them "I can always tell when you guys are doing your jobs when I can't do mine."

 

Yep I don’t disagree. It’s definitely not my position. It’s the EU government’s position !
