Mine occurred with just light snow. I did some research and it looked like it was a common problem with Goodyear tires on multiple wrangler forums too.

I also have this issue, but only a couple of drip marks, so it is minor....nothing like as significant or obvious as the photo's you have uploaded.

I do live in sunny Queensland, but believe me, when it rains here, it really rains. (Check out the Australian weather / flooding reports as of today !!!!)

I can certainly confirm that it is tyre / rain related, and not at all to do with the bracket or rim.

I did carefully rub the marks with a mild degreaser a few weeks ago and it reduced them (with no paint damage!), but they are still visible. Another teething issue, which is a bit disappointing.

.....hope you eventually get your's resolved by JLR as that amount of staining really does look bad, and it's a poor advertisement.

I wonder if a magic eraser would work on it?

I bought my Defender from a Seattle dealership and I did get a wheel cover from the dealership. I do not have Duratrac but have the Goodyear Adventure AT and I have had no issues. If we are zeroing in on tires, it's gotta be the Duratrac.

I have the Goodyear Adventure AT on mine and have the spots. The wrangler forums have similar issues with the Goodyear tires.

We gave this picture to the Goodyear rep today that comes into the Portland Landrover store. We heard they had another one come in Saturday with same tire issue. Both Seattle and Everett Landrover dealers are having the same tire issue.

Anyone with the same Tire Goo from Goodyear Tires please post it so we can get Goodyear to be dealing with the issues.

I have zero drip marks. Question when was yours built? Mine was built in August 20. Again the idea is narrowing down a bad batch of tires.

Could you send us a picture of the tire goo on your Defender so we can show the Goodyear tire rep that we are working with here at the Portland Landrover store?
Thank you!

For what it's worth as a datapoint, I have Duratracs with a 49th week of 2017 datecode and do not have the issue.
