Are you sure? lf so, that's cheating!! Although it might be on air springs?
I'm no rocket surgeon but I'm guessing jumping a V8 Defender is not something you can do too often before the dash lights up like Studio54.
I watched PowerfulUK's recent video on the Grenadier. Attempted video I guess is a better description. It seems Ineos didn't want Simon and George to film anything on their visit to a dealership. It was interesting to hear his thought on it.
I've decided not to proceed with the Grenadier. My review of the test drive is somewhere above; too many "downgrades" on the Defender, plus the higher price than I expected based on early infor (My Trialmaster comes to $85,XXX, like pretty much everybody else's, and that's sans winch; My X-Dynamic SE 110 P400 (2022) was $79,800. It's not that another 5000 is a deal killer so much as that added to the concerns I had about usability (not off-roading but day-to-day), and giving up 100 hp and equivalent torque, all make it a no-go.
In acknowledgement of this decision I bought my former 2014 extremely built Jeep back from the friend I sold it to. Picked it up last week and drove it home from Ohio to Atlanta. Which reminded me why I bought the Defender, which is staying indefinitely!

You're leaving out the Rivian R1S. In terms of practical driving and roominess, it's by far a closer competitor to a 110/130 than a G-Wagen or a Bronco. For most, it's also much closer than a Grenadier. Tons of features and more tech than any of the vehicles you've mentioned. Comfortable, roomy, super-capable off-road, and fun as hell to drive. It's stupid looking but it definitely belongs in your comparison.
it can’t tow though. Well it can, but it cuts the range per charge in more than half like all EVs
im also pretty disappointed in the price and efficiency of the grenadier. My p300 was like 71k and thats with the offroad, advanced tow, 11.5 screen, ACC, air suspension, clearview, comfort and cold weather packs. the grenadier starts at that price lol, for what appears to be a much less luxurious interior design, worse fuel economy, less towing, and less tech. Probably equal at best offroad capability to my Defender

Personally I can't for @ADVAW8S to get his Grenadier. Will be fun to tackle some trails together. Maybe even get a "toot" or two as his live-axle flex leaves me questioning my puny IFS/IRS wheel lifts.
I reckon it will be a cool looking rig with plenty of fun to be had. Sure will be sad to lose a founding member of the local Tasman appreciation society but such is life.
I'm rooting for a red ladder frame on mushroom white and 17" steelies.

That's very true.
This was his use case "what's your thoughts on using the Grenadier as a daily drive vehicle? Drop kids off at school, go to work, park at the grocery store... that type of stuff? ...at times load 5 people, luggage, a dog, and then bikes on the back for a trip."
I think right there is a perfect R1S or 130 customer.
