Ok, I love seeing and reading the actual brochure. Thank you for sharing !

NoGA was correct. Its not electronic -- just an electric, Eaton style, full locker, like the G-wagen. Nice to see it can tow 7500 lbs. Pricing is out yet?

A BMW V6 G-wagen. The height of old-school off-roading for less money(?). Something suitable for overlanding far away from civilization. Maybe an alternative to the LandCruiser?

Enjoy !!

If I did this correctly you should get the UK price sheet which includes 20%VAT. They are saying around 55k for base and around 68k for the fully loaded Trialmaster and Fieldmaster additions. The accessory pricing that seems to be steep is the Red Winch but everything else seems reasonable.

Ok, so $75K USD for the Trailmaster (the model with full locking diffs, etc.).

A value priced G-wagen or NEW, old-school, off-road Defender. I would say those die-hard old Defender devotees who have worried and wondered over the past ten years have a valid option in all respects, at least on paper.

Personally, I hope this blog might end up hosting a Grenadier page, sometime in the future.

Enjoy !!

Ahhh, my friend, but it’s T-R-I-A-L Master; they’ve pulled one on us. Apparently it’s kitted out for lawyers.

Guess whose back, In last 3 months started a new job, had a baby, had my 4 year old kicked out of school. Been following things on here and Gavin continues to keep me entertained. With so many Kirkland ppl, maybe we need a Sunday coffee Defender meet up and then hit the trails. Anyways here is a update on the Grenadier.

New video dropped today with testing here in the US, nothing fancy just a tease. Orders start in 2023 with hopeful delivery in Q3 2023. US avoids the supply chain issue that is pushing the EU buyers back a couple months. There is talks that we will see a 10% price increase but doesn't matter to US ppl since we haven't seen the price. Finally the 2k watt inverter is said to be on back burner for the ones being built at EOY 2022 but may arrive in the 2023 built models.

1,050 miles tested by vehicle is not very impressive!

In reality it has been 1.5 million miles globally since 2021 and they did 1k testing here in US specifically in those local. What I think is different from other car makers this was physically drive versus put on a machine to simulate the miles.

More Defenders now in Kirkland than you can shake a stick at.

Would be cool to form a convoy and hit the trails. Going to be another warm weekend. Dusty rutted tracks are a'callin.

I'm in no rush to get my Grenadier. The other half doesn't know about it and my arguments in favor of a second Defender/Defender-like car in our driveway are falling on deaf ears. Interest rates are high and I balk at the prospect of a high interest note on a car.

1.79% was bitter enough pill on the Defender.

That red ladder frame sure is purdy though.

it's a neat vehicle, they had one at overland expo but it was for staring at only. If I lived somewhere you could run out that evening and do some rock crawling, I'd want one, but I'm good with the Defender.

And, I’m really getting excited. Can’t wait. I reserved in early February; I have no idea if that means I might get a vehicle in Q4 of 23 or not.
