If you were not given your 2nd Key Fob on delivery, have you received it from the dealership yet? If so, please provide your delivery date and when you received the second key FOB.

Our Defender was delivered in July 2022 and I cannot seem to get a definitive answer from my dealer on the process for how these keys will be issued and when I may expect to get the key. They say the key is being replaced by recall and they have no idea when keys will be delivered. I have a hard time believing that no one at Land Rover is tracking this.

 

We received our Defender 110 S P300 in July of 2022 and just got word our second key is ready for pickup a couple weeks ago. We tried to collect the key and take it to our preferred dealer north of Chicago for programming but the purchase dealer said that wasn't possible and we needed to come back to them. Our preferred dealer we found since we moved said that was a load of BS and they totally could have released the key for programming elsewhere.

 

23MY delivered June 2022, picking up 2nd key fob in two days Monday Jan 23rd. Whew finally.

I did have to call and ask for status about once a month, definitely not an automatic “we’ll call you when it’s here” thing.

did they also give an update on the missing usb ports?

 

no, all my USB ports were installed.

i DID get the Active cruise control and activity key though.

i took delivery Nov 4 23.

i did get the interactive display, but missing:

2nd key fob
clearsight mirror
11.4 in screen
sunglass holder
and passenger & 2nd row usb ports

 

2nd Key Fob taking ages for me, lol.

Still awaiting key, 13 months after car arrived; 7 months after notices arrived; 5 months after dealer ‘ordered it’

I would suggest calling the parts department or if you have a service advisor you like to deal with. From what I was told yesterday is that they received a “whole bunch “ of Defender key fobs at my particular dealership and notifying the customers was going to take weeks. So you can bypass that wait by calling. Of course, it doesn’t seem that all dealerships are on the same page . Good luck.

Picked up our 23 110s 4cyl on August 16. Dealer called yesterday and said the key is in. Have appointment February 2nd to have it programmed. Fingers crossed that it actually happens.

 

no key here, no usb ports, I have not called and asked.
