The user manual specs Havoline XLC antifreeze. I live in a part of the US where there are no Chevron stations and none of the local auto stores carry Havoline products. Amazon, everyone's fall-back shop only carries 6-packs which is way too much. So, any recommendations as to what to use?
Related question: I've had the truck for about a year and put 19,000 miles on it, some of it towing a 5,500 lb trailer. I got a coolant warning this morning and sure enough, my reservoir/expansion tank is empty. Anyone else going through coolant like that? In all of my previous vehicles, needing to top off coolant was rare.
The Havoline seems to be made from distilled Unobtanium.
The only coolant meeting the specs I've found is OEM at the dealership and the amazon six gallon pack. The Havoline seems to be made from distilled Unobtanium.
$70+ for a gallon at the dealer
Not pulled the trigger on either. Still looking for a better option.

For $21, this should be fine. You can get it at Autozone.
I ended up finding Pentofrost SF. It's the only one I found that explicitly calls out the LR specification STJLR6515003. Not cheap, but it is a great German product.

I finally caved in and bought a gallon from JLR.
Could never identify a chemically equivalent alternative.
