Default headlights and turn signal

I noticed the other day my headlight turning off as my signal was activated. I have seen this occur with other vehicles, so I wasn't surprised, but I did remember not seeing it occur before. This morning, it was raining and dark, and as I activated my turn signal, I could see my head light remain on. Is this a glitch or does it have something to do with rain and or day/night conditions?

It turns off if the DRL is on. If the headlights are ON, it doesn't turn off. Normal

which are the DRL and how are they activated? I always drive with front and rear fogs on, the headlights are set to auto.

I was able to take a snap of the turn signal on with lights on. IS this normal?

^This. And IMO, driving with the front and rear fog lights on all the time isn't normal. It's simply annoying to other drivers unless it's really foggy or snowing hard.

given how little people pay attention to actually driving, I’m ok with it being a little annoying.

Laughing at this....think exactly the same - every time I see rear fogs in non fog or low visibility situations - it drives me crazy!
