Default Height with cross bars

Hi all..Does anyone know how much height the factory crossbars ( not expedition rack) add to the height of a 2022 defender 110?..Will the crossbars extend above the satellite antenna which is approx 3 3/4" above the roof?...Thx...Barry

The crossbars add between 5 to 5.5" from the roof, depending on where you measure. It does indeed stand above the satellite antenna in the rear.

Thx..I've been offroading but no long trips but now want to start several day overlanding trips so will need extra carrying capacity...I decided that the best setup for me was the factory crossbars and Thule or Yakima roof pod..Would have been nice if I could have kept the crossbars attached full time but I only have a few inches of head room getting in my garage (dont want to have to remember "access" mode each time) so may have to install the crossbars before each trip...Thx again!

OP as asking about cross bars. believe you are talking about the roof rails. cross bars mount to the roof rails

I have the same garage issue with the crossbars installed. I have to remember to lower the vehicle. This week I'm installing a little "reminder", which consists of a small metal ball hanging off a string right in front of the garage door. If I forget to lower it, it'll sound a noticeable "ding" before I destroy the garage door / roof

I posted a solution using Thule wing bar edge and no factory roof rails. It’s about the same height as the antenna. Stock rails would lift bars maybe 1cm more

What is the height of your garage? I have a seven foot garage and have no issue accessing in normal height.

@alps.defender with the roofrails and podiumfeet set 3040 it will be almost 3cm higher.

Look into the Thule low profile aero bars. I have a 110 with a 1.5 Johnson Rod lift and BFG KO2s with these bars mounted. My garage is 83” high and my 110 in normal height is 80” including the crossbars. The factory bars were way too high.
