Hitch extension

Hitch extension
Just bought a new travel trailer to tow behind 110. The trailer dealership removed the back tire and put in the boot when hooking up the trailer. The spare tire touches the trailer when making turns.
they recommended a hitch extension. Has anyone ever used one? I am concerned of maxing out the alllowed tounge weight.
all thoughts appreciated

Any hitch extension will substantially reduce the allowed tongue weight. Ok for a bike rack; not ok for anything but a super light trailer. Extend the tongue of your trailer with an extension instead. You’ll want to recheck and maybe rebalance or move your axle if you do, but way better than extending your hitch.

This a pretty serious set up, and while I'm sure it works great, isn't what LR recommends. To be honest, it looks like he had the hitch on a previous vehicle and decided that it would work for the Defender too. I'm sure it tows great, but long term I wonder what will happen (break) first.
On a site note; LR has been notoriously difficult when it comes to hitch weight and towing capacity. My LR4 was really a challenge and I never trusted the plugin type receiver.

A small hitch extension won't throw things off much. Have you seen what people tow with these days? The towing capacity of 7700lbs is substantial and the air suspension helps keep it level. Much better than all those pickups dragging *** down the road with their springs loaded. I wouldn't worry too much.

Electrical not working? software update?
Hi all,
I installed the towbar and electrical module and harness on my 2023 90S. Installation was easy if you follow the instructions and pointers in the forum.
However aren’t working. I thought it would be plug and play, apparently not
Any pointers appreciated.
