How do I check and clean the A/C drain line at home?
I’m trying to check the A/C drain line on my defender 110 at home and clean it if it’s clogged.
What’s the best way to locate the drain line, confirm whether it’s blocked, and safely clear it without damaging anything? Are there any tools or precautions you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I believe with a Land Rover you’re supposed to wait until it backs up, cold water spills on your feet for years, then the floor corrodes and you don’t worry about it until the 3rd owner pulls the carpet and finds the horror show !
In all seriousness, I figured out sunroof drain tubes, but I had not figured this out. It’s on my list.

That sounds exactly like the official Land Rover maintenance schedule: ignore, damp socks, corrosion, then a surprise for the next owner.
Thanks for the laugh. Since you mentioned you figured out the sunroof drain tubes, where are they located and how did you access/clear them? I’d like to check those as well before my Defender starts growing its own ecosystem under the carpet.
If I figure out the A/C drain location, I’ll post back here.

Sure, here’s my post about the sunroof drains: Feb 2023 post
FYI, I did mine again in early May - and they were gross, black gook everywhere on the sides. It was worse this year because I moved, and during that move, the car sat under cedar trees. After 1 year. I’ve cleaned them 3 years in a row now each spring.
Cleaned up perfectly but I wish everyone knew that if you just leave this there, in a few years, issues may arise. The gunk does not simply wash itself away. It turns into dirt/muck/mud.
