H1Tad, jwest, good info regarding the legroom inside and seat positioning. Thank you.
There aren't many vehicles out there that offer the inside room, upright seating position with a commanding view of the road that the 110 offers.
I don't care for the styling of some of the new vehicles such as Lexus, and BMW going to it's Neue Klasse design for X5 in late 2026, it will be just hard to beat the looks of the 110 and especially the Octa.

Well, I’ve had my OCTA for one year, no problems UNTIL — I keep the OCTA in northeast Wisconsin perfect environ for the truck. It’s wintered in the unheated attached garage with a NOCO charger connected (almost 3 months without start). This spring I did my usual spring routine, tire air pressure, etc. it did not start! Doors unlocked, lights came on, Pivi screen came on, etc. but no turn of the engine. Jump start did nothing. After trying JLR roadside assistance for half a day I ended up using my dealer’s recommended recovery service. The driver was familiar with defenders (but not the OCTA) and he could not start it. Of course we could not get it out of park using the LR recovery guide and Simon Jefferson’s rub my tummy and pat my head. Anyway we dragged in on the flatbed on off it went on the 90 mile, $580.00 journey to the dealer.

Well, they got it into the garage, ran diagnostics, updated ALL (ECUs included) software, etc. and got it running. No mechanical issues, no battery issues, and according to them no DC/DC converter issues (the OCATA MHEV system is different to the P400 system, although I did not get a detailed explanation). They kept the truck for a few days and worked with LR. (I don’t think they work on many OCTAs). End result - “software issues”.

in any case, truck is running just fine now, no issues at all. Never did get a good explanation probably because they just didn’t have one. Still like the dealer and the OCTA. No charge by the dealer just the recovery company.

I would have thought the same thing, DC/DC converter issue.
Glad it's running well now.

Good to know, thank you.

Picked up my 26 Sargasso Blue Octa in early November and just turned 5,000 miles this week. Only issue I have had was a faulty MHEV battery that was replaced at around 2,000 miles (warning light came on but didn’t affect driveability). The car continues to amaze me with the breadth of its abilities. We still have a 21 P400 Defender with 60k miles, which is still a great car but the Octa is an other level entirely (as it should be for twice the price). Interestingly, the average mpg is only about 0.5 mpg less in the Octa (both are on BFG Trail-Terrain tires, with the Octa being on 20’s and the P400 on 22’s).

Yeah, when I test drove the Octa, the difference was very noticable.
Great color, that's my 1st choice.
Do you have the factory matte ppf on the paint?

Thanks - it was the blue that finally made me pull the trigger as I didn’t find the 2025 color palette that appealing tbh. I didn’t do the matte PPF as I really like the metallic in the paint but did get it PPF’d with Stek DYNOshield locally.
