Default IIDTool BT and 2024 Land Rover Defender 90 V8 Changes

Good afternoon Does anyone know what changes and/or benefits an L663 V8 may have with the IIDTool BT? Has anyone used it for this particular type of model and engine?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pd. In All the search i found info for 4/6 cyl. But not for v8 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't the 90 V8 have the Jag 5.0 supercharged engine? If so, it has been used in Jag and LR vehicles since 2010 and many tools cover it very well. Possible there is some slight software tweaking needed but I would expect it to have full functionality. You should check with the company.

The Octa uses the BMW V8 twin turbo which is totally different and quite new to the JLR platform.

Purchase away I’d say. It’s for the platform not the motor. It does everything for the V8 it does for the P400 and P300. Most of the coding doesn’t have anything to do with the motor anyway, and the CCF editing is for the L663 platform, maintenance on other systems like air suspension etc.

PS, very little of what you’d actually do would be related to the actual engine. Every thread you’d read on here about what people are using the Gaptool for has nothing to do with the motor. So, rest easy. It’ll work. Go for it.

True. For the Octa. All bets are off. I doubt Gaptool supports the Octa 6D suspension yet.
