I've just received my IIDTOOL BT G4 from GAP, but I don't know what the instructions are, if any, before I use it to not reset the work I've already done with the G3. Anyone have advice? Thank you!

 

When I got my G4 through the exchange with GAP, all the settings, and favorites and initial vehicle configuration (for any needed factory reset) was still on it. Looks like they cloned mine to it. Then it's just a matter of logging in and registering the device on the website like you did before.

I tried to update firmware but it was up to date. 4.0

 

The user manual is being updated. It is still titled as being for the G3, but there are next to no differences for the G4.
