Default Instrument panel overly dim?

New owner, 2020 S. Is it normal for the instrument panel to look a bit dim compared to the center screen? Adjusting the brightness control on the center screen doesn’t effect the instrument panel (by design I’m sure). I have the manual light dial turned all the way up to the left (US) of the steering column, but it still feels a lot dimmer than I’d expect at night. In bright daytime conditions, it looks plenty bright so I know the screen can get bright overall, but at night it feels too dim and a more ideal level feels like it would be almost twice as bright.

Not sure if it’s normal but it’s an irritation of mine at dusk as well.

Hey! I have the same issue with my instrument cluster at night but thought i was crazy. Did you ever determine if this was an issue or just how it is?

For me, at dusk and even at night too the centre screen and instrument panel are way too dim. The brightness slider actually changes nothing. The reverse camera doesn’t show a thing at night. A recent software update was supposed to address this but I saw no change. If you’re listening JLR, pls more brightness in the next update.

This is one of my only foibles with this truck that I otherwise love.

As an slight aside, it’s known that the reverse lights don’t illuminate adequately and Powerful UK have issued a supplementary LED kit (which I have not installed but may get around to).

I know the answer already is yes, but did you take it off auto-brightness?

Actually I didn’t even come across that option as a setting. I will look again - thank you!

I did the PowerfulUk reverse light upgrade and love it. Worked well for me. Can even do shadow puppets at the campground using them....

If i remember correctly, it is part of the options where you can change the background from light to dark. I run my Privi in Dark mode
