Hello guys,

I have an extreme rear „safari“ window rattle. I already tried several fixes from this forum, nothing seems to work. It even rattles when driving in the city… attached is a video, anyone else had this problem and a fix? Would much appreciate it, basically not drivable with more than 2 persons and really annoying when driving alone… thanks!!!

That is a seriously loose window. Did you try taking it to your dealer?

 

I would take it straight to the dealer, without an appointment, drop it off and tell them you don't want it back until it's fixed.
(*works best if you have other cars to drive)

Are you sure it's not a broken upper rear shock mount. They sound similar, but this noise is under the floor in that area.

 

I am currently in Iceland so I would need to go to the local dealer here, but Land Rover is Land Rover isn’t it?

 

Will 100% do that, currently on Iceland actually but I will go to the local dealership in Reykjavik… Where exactly are these shock mounts? I localized the rattle coming from below the safari window „plastic“. Isn’t there also the rear side airbag? Maybe this is the problem. Pretty weird that it is on both sides tho.

 

I’m going to take it first thing tomorrow although I am not home but in Iceland! Hope for the best…
