Obviously now we're a few years in to the L663 there's little new that a review can add to that we already know, but I thought this one did more than many to capture the Defender experience as a whole and it made some interesting comparisons about the Defender and its competitors from both a capability and a connection to the car perspective

Thanks for the link. Great review. While I do agree with the author that all these options add up fast, I do think JLR management did a good job dividing options up in a logical pattern. In other words, if you're open to waiting a few months, ordering a specific vehicle enables the buyer to spend the money on the things that are important, and skip on the options that aren't. You end up saving some money, complexity, and end up with the product you're happy with.
