Default Interior Trim Staining TSB

Hi, what have people been using to successfully clean some of the excessive staining that occurs on the interior trim? I seem to have a couple spots and water stains and would like to try and remove without a dealer visit. What do they do per the TSB guidance is there a special factory cleaning agent and sealer or do they just replace the trim part effected?

Thanks!

Buy the Bissell cleaner and use water.

Thanks for the TSB!!

What about the door trim pieces by the window switch close to the door handle and center console arm rest? They both seem to be areas that also pick up discoloration and water staining. That material is a lot harder than the soft seat cushions and does not seem to be part of that TSB? I can try the Bissell on them as well or are there any cleaning agents that have been able to remove the stains?

The Lucky8 folks polled their IG followers on that and the conclusion seemed to be baby wipes are the best to clean that material. I can vouch for that, have been using them on the D5 (which has the same material) for years and now on the Defender and does seem to work. Would not mind finding a treatment that made them less vulnerable though.

I wonder if ceramic coating would work on the door trim pieces. People use it on all kinds of exterior trim so it might be worth a shot. That being said test somewhere out of site to be safe if you decide to try it

Interesting idea… I wonder how those fabric trim pieces around the seats would take to (properly applied) Otter Wax? My guess is that it would darken the material slightly but keep the color uniform and avoid ‘spotting’.
