Default Removing the Wood Trim

I have searched the forum and found no clear answers, but how bad would it be to remove the wood trim from my interior? The clear "lacquer" looking stuff over the wood has cracked and some is missing. Can the adhesive left behind be easily removed, or am I looking at replacing trim pieces with new plastic pieces sans wood?

How about painting it? Remove the trim pieces, sand 'em down, prep 'em, and paint.

It pulls of with ease and leaves very little sticky residue behind. The Black that's underneath it looks way better than wood IMO.

Yeah, just pull it off and remove any sticky residue with "Goo gone" or alcohol. It'll be a fairly easy job.

Some of the wood may have come from the factory, in which case you might have to replace the trim with non wood trim. For example the piece above the glove box... on an S it's plastic. On an SE or HSE it might be wood. On some trims, the wood was added glued on, on some pieces there were some holes drilled to attach it.

Lol. Not me! That's why I bought the S. No sun roofs. No leather. No wood trim. No air springs. No SLS.
