I never found the charging pad to be very useful. Even when it worked it was slow.
The PowerfulUK 3D printed MagSafe charging pad, however, works beautifully.

I just order from the UK; they are a great company and ship promptly.
If you watch their YouTube videos they often show their 3D printers buzzing away, so they will probably have them back in stock soon.
