Default JLR Please fix this - Parking Sensors/Offroad Camera

The parking sensors do not turn on/beep when you're using the off-road camera view. There is no toggle to turn the sound on/off like there is in the on-road camera view.

So if you're out in the woods and you need a hand maneuvering between redwoods, OR, if you're trying to navigate between concrete pillars in waitrose(!) carpark the offroad camera is super helpful, but it disables the parking sensors and you're on your own... in such circumstances, it is very easy to forget that you need to turn the camera off again, in order to turn on the parking sensors.

I must have had 10 close calls recently when I've needed offroad camera mode, then gone to park up immediately afterwards and forgotten that there are no beeps in offroad mode. It's super easy to do and I am convinced people will be reversing into stuff as a result.

I appreciate why the engineers supress the beeps when offroading, but it would be really handy if there were at least an option to turn them on permanently, if you so desired..

Hoping someone useful from JLR lurks in here looking for ideas...

I think this is a feature, not a bug. I personally wish for a less beeping off road not more..

I wheel my defender hard and I'm glad they don't beep when off road...the would be going off the entire time. But I see your point, it would be nice to have them switchable.

I learned this the hard way and bumped into my friend's bike rack while using the off-road cameras. Figured I still had some room since there wasn't a beep lol. Luckily it only scratched my bumper, and his car was fine.

You won't be the first or last! I know my time is coming as I use this camera view quite a lot around London.

I've even had instances where people have walked behind me whilst reversing and it didn't beep or intervene.

I understand why one wouldn't want the beeping off-road - long grass, large rocks, bushes etc. What I'd like is the option to toggle it on or off from the settings menu. It would need to be something which remains as you set it during multiple trips. Something you'd notice and be able to switch off in the first 20 feet of offroad driving. But something which will save your bumpers and others if you use it on-road.

I agree completely.

I'd like the sensors/beeping to default OFF in offroad camera mode, but with a button that allows you to turn them back on.

I use the offroad mode nearly every time I park (to see the curb, or walls on either side of car in a narrow alley or drive).
