Umm yes it is designed to work from the pocket that's the whole concept of keyless entry! Literally every other car key I've used works from your pocket.
FWIW, our 2022 XC90 and 2022 M50i both have issues if the key is behind a phone in a pocket or purse. Shift things around and the door unlocks. This sort of interference has always made sense.

Correct. I still occasionally get phone interference if I have both in the same pocket, which is why I always try to keep them in separate pockets.

Seems odd. I had an 21 X5 M40i and had zero issues with the key fob. My father just bought a 2025 X5 also no issues. Can't think of any vehicle I've ever had in the past where there was an issue in my pocket. Its meant to be keyless entry afterall. Its expected to stay in a pocket or a purse.

Anyway it is what it is, i'm not losing sleep over it. but if moving the receiver is all it takes, I'd rather them do it and get it taken care of. Even if its only a 'marginal' improvement.
