How is something like this still a problem in a 24? 3 model years is a long time for this to still be a problem.

The dealer says it will fix the issue, but I have my doubts.

 

Same thing happened to me today. No power steering at all. I disabled the battery, waited 10 minutes and reset the battery. At startup all was fine.

 

Has anyone had it on P300? It might be MHEV related glitch....

 

I have a 2024 X SE 110. Only 3,500 miles. I also had the issue where the front speakers stopped working (twice). I am starting to get nervous about the electronics.

 

HI Paul.. i cannot find a 10mm terminal bolt,, can you help please, i have this same problem steering locked, with lane assistance not avaiable.

 

10mm wrench to disconnect a lead to the battery which will reset the computer.

 

Are you looking at the battery under the passenger seat? The top of the battery has a negative terminal marked with a minus symbol "-" and a positive terminal marked with a plus "+" symbol. There is a silver clamp attached to each terminal and this clamp is tightened with a small bolt. Loosen the bolt on the negative terminal clamp and pull the wire and clamp up to disconnect it for a few minutes. Someone posted that their battery terminals have 8mm bolts, so you may need an 8mm or 10mm wrench or any small adjustable wrench will work.

 

Well, I’m stumped. 2023 110S with P300.

I lost power steering as I was pulling into the driveway this evening. Fortunately, I had seen this thread and ordered the 10mm insulated wrench.

Unfortunately, 10 minutes of a disconnected negative terminal did not fix the problem.

I rebooted my pivi, but no joy.

I’m on 4.1.1_ installed on 22 January 2024. Is that the latest? Of course there’s no way to force an update. I have good home WiFi when I’m in the driveway, so that’s not an issue.

Hoping it resets overnight. Or I’ll try the battery trick for a longer time period. I’d rather not lose the time it will take to have it towed to the dealer.

 

I hope there are enough reports to initiate some sort of recall. Loss of power steering is not a small deal.

 

Just left the battery disconnected for an hour. No change. I’ll call the dealer in the morning.
