With the latest PIVI update my LED running lights don't turn on with the Auto headlamp feature, the actual headlights turn on and stay on instead, acting as if it's dark outside. Not sure how to fix this or did JLR update the software so the common LED DRL burnout issue will stop and they just have decided to have the headlilghts go on instead? Anyone else have this issue (perhaps you havent even noticed)? As an aside, the LED DRL's do turn on properly if I manually turn off the Auto feature after I start the car each time and have the lights in the off position...
Interesting. What is the version # of the software update you just received? (there are 3 or 4 out right now and curious as to which you have gotten). Is it 4.2 or 4.1.xxxx?
Very interesting indeed. Seems like a bug to me but -- Anyone else have this same issue with 4.1.5?
I just did the update last night and this morning we noticed the Drivers side Driving Lamp Halo is OUT now too. I'm not sure the software version but would assume it's the most up to date. I'm at 57K miles and it's already at the dealership (dropped it off today) for something else. So I'm outta warranty. When I spoke with my rep they stated they will diagnose it but that the updated wouldn't have anything to do with it. But VERY odd timing and that it's happening to someone else too is wierd. There's also an old "Special Service Message" about this: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...99802-0001.pdf

Is the headlight that went out original or has it been replaced in the past?
@CincyRovers Should be the original. I bought it used last year but when I went over the service records with the dealership they didn't mention anything about the light.
The DRL ring failing is a common issue. I had mine replaced under warranty 2 years ago. The driver's side ring just failed again at 70k miles. There is a fix for this. You can buy the part from Powerful uk, it's £48. They did a video on replacing the LED module. They also said you can't separate the headlight lens from the casing. That is false. I just did this with a heat gun and patience. Here is a link to the part on their website and their video showing where the part goes. I used black silicon/caulk to reassemble the headlight.
