Default Location of LF antenna (loadspace)

Does anyone know the exact location of the loadspace LF antenna (for the tailgate passive entry)? The workshop manual isn't too clear. I'm unsure if it's behind the bumper in the rear loadspace or actually behind the bumper itself. Anyway, it's got a fault (which won't clear) and I don't want to start removing the wrong thing to get to it.

It is on the bumper. You can't really get to it unless you take the bumper off, or at least loosen the driver side of the bumper.

I too had a fault with that sensor that started showing up after I removed the bumper to install the tow hooks. To completely take the bumper off you have to disconnect that sensor. I assume I didn't get the connection back together very good. So I loosened the driver side bumper and disconnected it again, cleaned the contacts and reconnected. After a few days the error cleared.

Thank you! Sounds like the same scenario. Do you recall which connector? One large with a number of wires and one that looks like small coaxial.

It is the small coaxial one. The larger one does the object sensing when reversing.

I managed to fix it. In fact, the small coax is the rear camera and the block connector includes the LF antenna (see wiring diagram extracts attached). I simply hadn't clipped it together fully. I did find the LF antenna itself but that wasn't the problem (photo below).

What does this sensor do? I don't believe it's the RF (ie 315 mhz key sensor for keyless entry) - because that's up in the headliner up above glued to a bracket on headliner... so what's this one for / accomplish? ?

According to the workshop manual, it's one of the Low Frequency Antennas for the passive entry system. Number 3 in this diagram:
