Default Locking Fuel Cap?

Came back to my Defender after an event at the park and noticed my fuel door and cap loose. Got me really scared of what had happened. Realized that the fuel door does not lock even when the car is locked

couldn’t find any visible damage or traces of vandalism

today after they gym i notice the door and cap loose again. Completely different areas and my mind is all over the place if someone is F’ing with me or is the cap coming loose from heat or pressure.

i know some will mention it but i know how to lock the cap and close the fuel door. my second defender and almost 3 years of ownership.

anybody have any similar experience with the cap coming undone and door opening by itself or locking fuel cap.

at this point i am not sure what’s going on

Get yourself a locking fuel cap, they are around £20 in the U.K. and l am sure they are available where you are.

Coming up on 2 years ownership and have not experienced either of your issues. Cap is tight between fill-ups and fuel filler door remains closed.
