The gas cap o-ring on a friend of mine 2010 LR2 is cracked enough to throw a code (don't recall specific one at the moment). Is it possible to replace just the o-ring or just buy a new cap? Don't have the cap in hand. I have access to lots of buna-n.

 

I had the same problem. I took the cap into the parts counter at my dealer and they told me the o-ring is not available for purchase separately. Given the circumstances, they were nice to sell me a new cap at their cost. I don't recall exactly how much the new cap cost me, but I think it was between $20 - $30. At least it fixed the problem with the emissions code.
