"L'Orange" (red/orange) calipers and tow hooks - what's the history?
2 questions about these "L'Orange" brake calipers from the X model.
#1 -- I thought I'd read in product launch literature or heard an interview with McGovern (?) that the L'Orange calipers on the X and tow hooks were painted that color because it's an old Land Rover paint color. A nod to history or whatever. Anyone know the story here / is this an old RRC/Series color? The primer that did nothing to prevent bulkhead rust? Or have I gone mad.
#2 -- Paint code for this color "L'Orange" ? I have a garage project I'd like to try this color on -- but cannot find the paint code (FYI: the project is painting the center pedals of 16" Fuchs wheels for a Porsche race car build, a non sunroof white 86 944 Turbo that I think will look cracking on the track with orange/silver wheels and some stripey livery).

There's another company I have used and I'll try to post it later. As long as you know the name, they look it up and will make a rattle can or tub of custom mix.
There it is. These people were excellent to work with and they found the code for a color they didn't have. I called and talked to the nicest lady and she figured it all out for me.
