Default What color is my Disco 2??

Ok I just ordered some spray paint to paint one of my foglight covers, I thought it was blenheim silver but I guess i was wrong. The color I got and spray tested looks too silver and not the white/gold color of my truck. I've included a pic of my rover. The sticker on my radiator fell off so I don't know the exact color code. Does anyone have this color disco and know the color code for it? Thanks...

It's that secret babe magnet color. If you look on the VIN plate which may have survived under the hood there is a paint code number (not the paper tag with color name) that you can reference with parts catalog or dealer. See attached.

I'm a little confused, I have my vin number but how do you get the color of your truck from it. I originally called the dealership and gave them my vin, and they told me it was blenheim silver, my truck is no way blenheim silver. Its more of a white gold. Hmmm????? Did they make different blenheim silvers for different years? I have a disco 2 1999.

look at the page I sent you from the shop manual. The plate has the vin, plus and extra paint code and and extra trim code This is not the plate visible from the windshield. It is under the hood.

If you find the code, here is a link to paint colors by code # http://www.dingocroft.co.uk/acatalog/paint91.htm They have three silver colors listed.

Your choices of Silver in the Disco 2 are:
Blenheim Silver
Stirling Silver
Zambezi Silver

I know the colors, my problem is I don't know which one to choose. I thought it was the blenheim silver but when I tested it, it came out metallic silver not the white gold metallic color they show on the website. I checked out my color code at the link below and my paint does'nt look anywhere close to this.

Anyone have the same color rover as I do that can give me the paint code under hood. Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

Well there is a white gold color. The silver you got is the only silver that year. But, you do have 13 year old paint on the truck and touch up. Never looks the same. You are missing the primer, base, clear, etc.

You can go by a store that sells automotive paint to the trade, and they have a portable paint scanner and can color match what you have and mix up a can of it. Not $10.
