Not that easy, all canbus prepaired . So you need a wiring loom and trailer module.

Buy your parts, new or used. DIY or Indy. 5 hours work ex.CCF work ( 20 minutes)

Towbar VPLET0273 NAS Towbar Original.
VPLYT0295 Towbar module.
LR146117. Wiring loom. ( This could be a different part number, check before ! )

Get yourself a GAP IIDTOOL BT v4 and program your CCF :

Towbar EUCD-076 Tow bar With Trailer Tow Attachment
MultiCAN-504 Trailer Light Mod Fitted
MultiCAN-579 Tow Assist Tow Assist 2
MultiCAN-635 Towing Not supported
MultiCAN-678 Hitch Assist Towbar 5 Seat NAS Towbar
MultiCAN-696 ATCM TA2 Switch Tow Assist 2 feature selection switch not fitted
MultiCAN-793 TA2 Input Control HVAC rotary
MultiCAN-795 TA2 Select In FCPB Rotary used for selection within touch screen

You can modify the lower skidplate and save some.

About the benefits of the 2021:

Center sunvisor
Sunglass holder
Middle console cover
Great back seat cover with storage
Locking Gas cap
Soft close Rear door
Silver stacks indicator / wiper
Joystick mirror
Dinamica Suedecloth option for S & SE - deleted with introduction of the V8
4 charging points backseats, 2x USB 2 x cigarette lighter chargers
X-Dynamic versions much nicer finishing console Hockey sticks/robustec
More colors available then, they skipped a lot afterwards.

The list goes on...

Did they really get rid of the middle sun visor in later models. Holy moly, I had no idea. I love that silly little feature. It’s super cool !!!!

yeah, it's odd what cars have it vs which don't. The 2008 Audi S4 avant i bought new has it, but my more up-market bmw 2008 535xi does not, nor does my 2017 RR SV AB.

I think it was removed in either 2022 or 2023MY. Exclusive to early cars.

I like it, but it isn't always effective. Often times I find the sun shining between my visor and the central visor. Also unfortunate that the sun visors don't extend to fully cover the window when folded out. That is quite irritating.

If I didn't already have a 2021, that's the one I'd get. No deleted features!

Agree! Happy to have a 2021 HSE XDynamic - all of the aforementioned features and also the center front seat. I file it under the 'quirks and features' that I'm happy we have and could no longer get. Also, the price of $85K with all techno-wizardry for off-road plus HUD and cold weather package, Windsor leather, etc - was a short model year run as well. Built in April 2021 and delivered in late May. With all of the issues going on now, grateful for the experience and LOVE the vehicle. Definitely a 'forever' vehicle in our stable.

Not necessarily. Reliability has been strong since the vehicle came out five years ago. There have been few parts changes since the beginning. Electronics are all the same, too. As with any vehicle, the first model year of a new generation or all-new model tend to have the most problems, but usually things are fixed by the second or third model year.

2026 is the mid-cycle refresh, so there will be more new parts and changes for 2026.

As i mentioned before, 2022-2023 models lost a lot of features due to chip shortages.

My research said the same thing. And then I went and bought a 2021 P400 HSE.

Any vehicle will be more reliable subsequent years after release. If someone tries to tell you there's no difference they either own the first model year and don't want anyone talking down about it or they're trying to sell one to you.

Stick with 22 and up.
