Congrats. She's expected to be in Baltimore on Dec 6. Le Havre is a one day turnaround but they gave her 4 days to cross the channel and get to Southampton before an aggressively estimated cruise across the Atlantic 9 days later.

Ill be in northern CT for new years weekend so we can wave and chuckle as we pass each other in only a few weeks time.

Four days to get across the channel and only nine days to get across the ocean? Seems disproportionate to me!

Get in Morning Lynn, lads. It's sayonara to Soton, she's now bound for Baltimore, she's got Charm City's coordinates. Hopefully she's 25kns the whole way! 😄

Thanks @EasternShoreDefender!

Near as I can figure, for them to get from Southampton today at, say 1700 EST, and arrive at Baltimore on 6 December at 1100 EST, she has to average 16.5 kn/hr.

Sounds doable….no?

Doable, though aggressive. That's a 16.5kn average with your calculations so she needs to make some speed, quick.

There's a low pressure system over the middle of the Atlantic now, the picture below being winds. I expect Morning Lynn will take the usual route (ignore the predicted route in the picture) and head down towards Portugal and make a hard right to head west and eventually enter the Chesapeake at Norfolk. Brooklands just made it across to Baltimore from Zeebrugge in 10 days. My dealer is about ~50 miles as the crow flies from the Port of Baltimore so I'm optimistically hoping for a pick up on the 10th but realistically expecting early the next week. Don't think you'll be that much further behind, if at all. Almost here!

I misread the ETA. If it is meant to arrive at 1609 then it doesn’t have to cruise as fast as I stated.

I’m not expecting mine untill the 16th at this point, and I’m fine with that. I’m actually in the UK for several days earlier that week.

Very nice, safe travels. Bring me back some English Bitter, please.

I am told that there is a railway workers strike happening while I am there.....so my Defender may get to CT before I do (but that will be a good problem to have!).

Default Acc

Has anyone been told that adaptive cruise control is not available on new orders? Not necessarily a deal breaker but wanted to verify if that was the case or if the change wasn’t made in time.

Unless there's some significant change, ACC is a software add. The sensing technology is in every Defender and can even be added after the fact, supposedly.
