I am already a bit concerned around being hit with a "mark up" during delivery so this one will likely just make things worse.

Default Typical Monthly Allotments

Does anyone have a feel for how many allotments a typical US dealership gets each month (when they’ve received allotments)? 1, 2, 3?

It would be great to hear JLRs position on this from @The Insider

Agree - nothing would be as bad as being expected to pay more than agreed to along with features being taken out.

I had a reply from my SA today. Good news, they won't add anything to the MSRP. Bad news, I have to suck up the new price increase "you only pay the sticker".

So I understand they are holding you accountable for the price increase on a truck you ordered? @The Insider is this JLR's position?

  • Land Rover seems to have "fixed" the keyless entry button/fob issue. My Defender doesn't act up when I press the button.
  • My build had the Clearsight mirror and large screen on the order sheet, but my dealer was up-front with me at time of finalizing the order and told me that I likely wouldn't be receiving either. I went ahead and ordered anyway. At time of delivery it was mentioned that I may have gotten the larger screen had I ordered the "extended leather pack," for what it's worth.
  • I also didn't get the digital gauge cluster, but I don't care about that at all. I always think analog gauges age better over time anyway.
  • I did order the Off-Road pack, and I did receive it in full. The locking rear E-Diff is there and installed.
  • I, too, am missing the Click-and-Go adapters on the rear of the seats. I don't know how that relates to a potential "supply chain issue" for what is just plastic, but... I didn't receive those.
  • I did get a few extras, as far as I know. They're small things, but funnily enough I probably care about them more than the Clearsight mirror or the digital gauges. I received complimentary full rubber floor mat protection set and the LR branded rear tote with the handles/dividers. That tote has proven to be pretty great thus far. I keep a pair of knee-high muck boots in it, some straps, and a moving blanket that I use for interior protection when hauling anything back there.
good info - thanks

That is my understanding as well. There was no sales contract per se, so I am probably lucky to have that. I also have a new Bronco Big Bend on order and the Ford dealer did sign a sales contract and will honor the original 2021 MSRP, no mark-ups. This is a local, family owned dealership that is involved in the local community and puts a high value on word of mouth and the opinion of its customers with an eye on repeat business. Different market I guess.

Waiting 8 months to pay $2200 above the initial provided quote is a crock of ****

After a very long and painful wait, my car finally arrived this morning.
Can’t wait to pick it up!
