Model 2023 - Production and delivery date
Put down a deposit January 12, 2022 - for a Defender 110 P400 X unsure of the build date. Delivery date fluctuated from beginning of July to mid July. Finally picked it up July 30th.
There was some back and forth with the sales guy during the wait time on what would be removed (due to chip shortage) at one point, no clear sight, analog cluster and no rear heated seats, every time he called I would get a little more disappointed as items were removed. Surprisingly showed up exactly as originally ordered. Minus a second key which we should get in a few months. They voluntarily honored the original price as we got our order in before the March price increase.
The actual buying processing was a gong show. They called July 29th (a Friday, before a long weekend) that the car was here and I would need to collect it the following day (Saturday). I would need to arrange $60-$80k for a down payment within a few hours. Setting up a wire transfer would take too long so they reluctantly agreed to a bank cheque, however as a requirement they wanted to come to the bank with us to confirm it was not fraudulent. Met them at the bank. They confirmed we were at the bank getting the bank cheque. Saturday rolls around, we're finalizing payment, they spring that the dealership is co-signer on the vehicle title to prevent flipping and illegal export. I was very close to walking away. They didn't care. It was an attitude of these are our conditions, take it or leave it. Call to my lawyer. Arranged for a secondary document to be drafted that the dealership has no legal recourse to the value of the vehicle and adding dealership to title was only to prevent illegal export and resale for 6mths.
It's taking a while to get over the dealerships shenanigans as it left a seriously sour taste, though driving this fantastic vehicle is certainly helping.

lucky! I just talked to my sales guy and he said it’s showing at the port of exit but not on a vessel yet. Hopefully that will update any day now. I wonder if priority is given to higher trims? I got the middle of the road x-dynamic trim for what it’s worth. And mines heading to Illinois if that’s effects anything.

I have a Lotus Emira on order as well. Original ETA was October delivery... Now no one knows. UK/Europe original ETA was Spring 2022.. then Summer... now Fall and some into Winter... and I have a feeling it will move again and again. Lotus communication has been non-existent. Submitted my order and locked back in March... and it's radio silence since then! Not a good feeling when you had to do a $15k non-refundable deposit.
I hope it was. It sucks waiting for them
Oddly - I have the GPS tracking data for the ship our Kimberley Kamper trailer is on coming from Australia. Currently moored in Antwerp on its way back down the English Channel from the Australia > Sweden milk run. Will most definitely land in Baltimore a month before the Defender. Just need to be patient - which sadly has never been a strong suit of mine
LOL
[QUOTE=n4v4nod;833914... My dealer just sent me an email stating my ETA is mid September. (110X... to be delivered to the Pacific Northwest). So a month late from original ETA. Which isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things...[/QUOTE]
Our rigs might be shipmates
My 110X was originally due to be here in Colorado in early/mid August. Dealer called - now Sept. Apparently some sort of railroad problem delaying getting rigs to the Adriatic Sea.
Ironically - our Kimberley Kamper trailer from Australia was nearby as it left the Suez Canal as it steamed through the Mediterranean. Sadly I couldn't convince the ships captain to make a slight detour and grab the Defender enroute. Looks like the trailer will hit Baltimore late this month - about a month before the Defender. C'est la vie I guess... Hopeful to have time to run in the Defender before we make a leisurely road trip along Route 66 from CO < > OHIO to get the mates together!
They say Patience is virtue - something I apparently lack

Mine was in Market Distro on May 25th.... now scheduled for late August delivery.. YMMV
At UK port there is another Market Distro to distribute to correct region.
