my dealer told me that I would be issued a credit since I ordered before the increase. I haven’t taken delivery yet so that remains to be seen.

My dealer did not pressure into buying protection plans, coatings etc. They were offered but completely optional. They charged MSRP without a mark-up but required that I sign a statement that I won't flip it for 12 months.

Very Cool. Makes me waste way too much time on line.
Ordered 2023 90 X-Dynamic SE 400PS 3.0L Pangea Green with 19" Wheels & off-road tires in February. Was supposed to be here 10 June, then 24 June, and now 1 July. It's "on the boat" - the equivalent of the check is in the mail. My larger screen was removed at the time of ordering, and I opted out of some "chip-demanding" options such as the electric steering column adjustment as I have no problem doing that manually.
Did you take the off-road course? I have drive off road a fair amount over the years (not extreme) but figure I can learn something, especially how to use all of the many assists.

No, but I would love to do so. I have not done any serious off-roading in a long while. I once had a gray-market 1983 Range Rover with a 4 speed gearbox. Did some gnarly trails in West Virginia with her, a very capable truck. I believe the Defender will do even better.

For me this is the first time I have ever been stressed instead of excited about getting a vehicle. Even though my dealership has been forthcoming with their "no surprises, no shenanigans" policy, greed seems to be impacting a lot of dealerships now. Fingers are crossed they hold true to their word.
I e-mailed the dealer back yesterday and expressed my concern over the previously undisclosed terms and they came back with an apology, a "rebate" to the as ordered price, and now only a $799 protection package versus the previous $2,800 package they added. Still not sure I'm going to take delivery because of my pending house closing and their "inability" to take cash.

I have to agree with you on the stress versus excitement, if this is how ordering a vehicle is, I don't plan to do it again.

I think I am on the dock with you, awaiting trucking up to Boston!

Now I am awaiting a slot on my order for a RR...starting the whole process over again. :-)

So 6 months for a delivery? And my dealer tells me 12 months waiting time? Can somebody explain?

everyone is bad at communicating, and doing everything they can to change the dates, so sometimes things get done faster and you celebrate, other times, stuff don't show up and your date moves again. This is why JIT manufacturing with supply chains around the worlds getting messed with is not a great thing.

There may be two things at play. 1- there is the time from you commitment to buy and the dealer actually has an allocation for you. Depending on the dealer and the location that has taken some up to 12 months. 2- Once you have acquired the allocation there is the process of submitting the order, the order getting on the queue, the truck getting built, shipped to your country and then shipped again to your dealership.

I was lucky and only waited 6 weeks for an allocation. My truck is scheduled to be delivered middle of next month. ~ 6 months from committing to receiving the truck.

And there are all sorts of supply chain shenanigans that can throw a monkey wrench into the works....

Just got my p300 110... This thing drives like a dream. I can't wait to go on more adventures. Gotta get a bike rack and rocksliders.
