Cool idea for sure. Shame it will never come to fruition. I wouldn't be worried about the MHEV system. They aren't prone to failure (unless it's a Volvo MHEV system - junk) and they don't have the complexity of a traditional hybrid or PHEV.

 

Last night I realized the way to get that now is find a dead 130 and add its rear end to an OCTA ...
