Checked in with my SA last week, It feels like a really long wait for my Carpathian 110. Ordered in Sept with a May-June 2024 delivery. Apparently, the V8 allocations are hard to come by. We're also waiting to hear back on the availability of the deployable running boards.

It’s a beautiful vehicle. Very comfortable drive. Early impression is it was absolutely worth the wait. Land Rover really nailed it with the new defender. The vintage tan is beautiful too.

Love my D90S with vintage tan extended leather! Carpathian was tough to keep clean, but after ceramic coating, not so much.

@PNW Rover Thanks for sharing your 130 build with dates. Were you able to confirm the deployable side steps will be available? I added them to my 110 Carpathian Edition build, and the SA said they might not be available for MY24. Hopefully I'll be able to confirm before my build locks next month with a May-June delivery.

@Dbirds11 When I placed my order in August we added the deployable side steps at that time, the SA and SM said there had been prior orders where they had to remove them to maintain a build date. They added in my options and other changes with the system accepting everything without a change to build date. Apparently the real acid test was when my order locked on 10/18/23 there were no issues with anything, so all assumed we were good.

When I spoke this past Sunday with the SA (I've bought a lot of cars and this guy is competent) I asked specifically if the deployable side steps or any other option / feature were hanging things up, he said they see nothing showing a specific reason for the production date changes. The SA did say they have seen some vehicles get moved back once or twice and then be updated to show they are arriving three weeks earlier than the revised date, I hope he's right and not placating me.

I called JLR USA this morning and as expected they referred me right back to the dealer. I'll ask if the dealer's SM or GM can reach out to their rep and get any info.

Just an update as a datapoint:

-Original Delivery Date 1/20/24
-Took Delivery way early on 12/12/23
