Default Model Year 2024 - Production & Delivery Date

Hey Guys, thought I'd make an updated MY thread since 2024 is just around the corner (and I plan on ordering one, as will others). Purpose of this thread will be just like the last one. If anyone has updates/changes/timeframes/specs/tables for the next MY, feel free to put the info here, or if you plan on ordering one yourselves for comparisons/questions with other users. Thanks guys!

Took Delivery of a 2024 110 X-Dynamic in Fuji White last evening. Vehicle came in exactly as spec'd, including the all digital dash. I didn't get to take many pics, or good ones, as we were trying to beat an incoming thunderstorm.

I am going to order a Defender 90 S Tuesday, and assume that it will be an MY24.

Does an ordering / pricing guide exist? Any definitive advice on what changes?

It does not exist currently, at least to my knowledge. Here in the states, any LR you order will be a '23 or '23.5MY as of today (minus the '24 RR Velar), but that’s supposed to change pretty soon.

Oh, I agree that they will tell me "23.5" model, but quoting 6 months plus delivery estimate, which is at best a guess - it won't be built in the time frame for 23.5 models.

I was hoping that someone had seen more information somewhere, if not the guide...

My opinion, based on past experience...There is such a backlog of sold orders on the Defender at the moment, I doubt that you will see a model year changover any time soon....

Exactly, they will do a MY switch over in that case. My ‘23.5 order I ultimately didn’t take delivery of took almost exactly 6 months.

Defender has always been popular since it’s release in 2020. It’s just now that the media has caught up to its production numbers.

For example 2020MY only lasted for 6 or so months, 2021MY for just over 3 months, 2022MY for about 9 months, 2023MY for about 6 months, and 2023.5MY currently going on for about 9 months.

So it makes sense for 2024MY to be right around the corner. Imo, I’m thinking March-May to be ready to order those. Also, the RR Velar is on ‘24MY, as is the F-Type, granted it’s a refresh and a final year, but still, it’s only February and that represents how JLR does these MY’s and their changes/updates.

I have placed an order for my first Defender about 7 weeks ago. I'm hoping to receive my car in the next 12 weeks. I really wonder what I will end up getting, will it be the 2024MY.

Ask your dealer for build/order sheet. The year will be listed on that...I ordered ours over the Holidays and it was built last week as a '23.5.
