Yes. The dealer should give you the name of the ship and then you can google the name and sort of tract it. It took about 12 days to get to Baltimore and 2 days to Brunswick

My 90 is still another month out. I went to the dealer to get my trade appraised again. It’s paid off and I like to know what numbers I’m looking at. My 90 was MSRP. My trade came in over 15k less than it was in September! I know the used car market is crashing. But damn. I’ve flipped vehicles the past 3-4 years doing ok (meaning a loss that I could stomach). Realizing vehicles are a depreciating asset… but the amount it dropped in this short amount of time has me thinking.

I might just pass on this 90. Yes I’d lose my 1K deposit but it wouldn’t be close to the amount I’d lose on my trade going at MSRP on the 90. I can sustain a loss… flipping vehicles has that trait. But I have never seen it at this level with used car prices dropping that much. Plus inventories as you stated are up and I’ve seen that here as well. The Toyota dealer close by has about a dozen Tundras sitting on the lot.
In this case what is the right thing to do? Bite the bullet now or risk losing more later,, As the vehicle depreciates even more? Kinda wondering the same as I financed my vehicle vs lease. I was offered $2k less from the same dealer a month later for my 110, Kinda surprised!

It may impact resale, but it’s relative to the market for 90’s and 110’s. I would venture that most 110 buyers wouldn’t consider the 90 because it’s too small for their family. On the other hand, a 110 will work for most people interested in a 90.

Great question. What happened between my original post and yesterday was my Defender was delivered to the dealership (early). The gap was significant from what the appraised value was in September till this week. My trade was top trim with low miles (and paid for). The dealer did take off 1K on MSRP (which is good info for those ordering now) and raised my trade by 1500. But it was still over 9k from what I had anticipated back in September and that was calculating 1k per month for depreciation (which I thought last Sept... would be more than enough). Used car market today compared to just 6 months ago has drastically changed. It was a good stretch there being able to flip vehicles w/o taking much (4Runner hardly took any) loss. I purchase my vehicles so I always have title in hand and was going to do the same with the Defender. But... didn't want to go this far thus.. I'm taking a pass. It will make someone else happy and the build spec IMO is very desirable.

BTW, the rear storage tray to make the floor level was NOT delivered with the vehicle.

That’s my build date too. I just noticed it’s a Friday. Let’s hope it’s a good one.

Default 130 v8 order canceled by Land Rover

Went to my local Land Rover to order a defender 130 v8 with all the specs at the end of January. Was notified two weeks ago that land rover canceled my order due to a refresh being released at the end of this year to the defenders. So glad they canceled my order so I can get the newest defender later this year with whatever new options they offer on it. And Hopfully more colors for the 130 v8. She told me they’d unveiling the refreshed defender this summer and they’ll begin taking orders this fall! Excited for that
