Model Year 2024 - Production & Delivery Date

Wow. When I ordered mine in early September I was basing what my trade would be in three to four months based on the appraised value in September.
Now over a half year later (never thought it would be this long) they also have Defenders on the lot. When I ordered mine they had one 90 and it was already sold.
My 90 is still another month out. I went to the dealer to get my trade appraised again. It’s paid off and I like to know what numbers I’m looking at. My 90 was MSRP. My trade came in over 15k less than it was in September! I know the used car market is crashing. But damn. I’ve flipped vehicles the past 3-4 years doing ok (meaning a loss that I could stomach). Realizing vehicles are a depreciating asset… but the amount it dropped in this short amount of time has me thinking.
I might just pass on this 90. Yes I’d lose my 1K deposit but it wouldn’t be close to the amount I’d lose on my trade going at MSRP on the 90. I can sustain a loss… flipping vehicles has that trait. But I have never seen it at this level with used car prices dropping that much. Plus inventories as you stated are up and I’ve seen that here as well. The Toyota dealer close by has about a dozen Tundras sitting on the lot.

In this case what is the right thing to do? Bite the bullet now or risk losing more later,, As the vehicle depreciates even more? Kinda wondering the same as I financed my vehicle vs lease. I was offered $2k less from the same dealer a month later for my 110, Kinda surprised!
BTW, the rear storage tray to make the floor level was NOT delivered with the vehicle.

130 v8 order canceled by Land Rover
Went to my local Land Rover to order a defender 130 v8 with all the specs at the end of January. Was notified two weeks ago that land rover canceled my order due to a refresh being released at the end of this year to the defenders. So glad they canceled my order so I can get the newest defender later this year with whatever new options they offer on it. And Hopfully more colors for the 130 v8. She told me they’d unveiling the refreshed defender this summer and they’ll begin taking orders this fall! Excited for that
