My order for a 110 V8 CE is still good according to the dealer. So far no changes for a June delivery in the US

Nothing against you but I think your dealer is full of ****/trying to pacify you with nonsense.

They built about 125 of the 130 V8s. They exist and are on the road in many non-North American countries. Every order slated for North America was cancelled (even some that made it to the port in Baltimore) and rerouted to Middle East.

The issue being the EPA. JLR has had issues not being able to get a motor certified in the past, and when Canada emissions gave them a hard time, then the US— despite being retrofitted at port to get compliant— they said to hell with it and sent em to Saudi. Mine was built in November and was in purgatory ever since because of certification failure.

With how they already have such a high demand for defenders, how JLR can barely keep up with orders as it is, and with their reputation for not doing tons of refreshes for something that already sells like hotcakes, Carpathians are still showing up without alcantara seats, AND the yet-to-be revealed SV defender looking the exact damn same as the current v8 (but with cooler wheels)…… I just doubt a refresh happens in 2025.

Plus, reports out today of Jaguar shutting down this year and being spun off by TATA. They just have bigger fish to fry than refreshing the already great selling Defender.

Your dealer deserves an award for "Best Fabricated Story" as their version is not the case. I too waited for months and months for my V8 130, yet in my case the dealer was providing accurate updates which match up with what others have heard regarding the EPA issues. Other dealers I spoke to in two other states all had the same EPA story, none of the fantasy of an impending refresh. Land Rover could not get the V8 130's certified by EPA and it has been a huge debacle. Some believe the 130 will never see the 5.0L V8 and instead it may be the 4.4L at an unknown time.

I connected with my SA this week and it looks like my 2024 is still on track for delivery. The V8 CE was built on 2/9 and waiting to be shipped out, should arrive at the dealer around 5/4 they sent me the VIN number as well. I'm not too concerned about 2025 being a refresh, I purposely bought a MY24 hoping they would work out any reliability issues or quirks. I also wanted the JLR V8 vs the BMW unit. The BMW is likely a better motor, but it's not supercharged, Birtish, or full of charm

Defender Delivery Affected by Baltimore Bridge Collapse

My Defender 90S is currently on Donington in the Atlantic Ocean.

Scheduled off load is BRUNSWICK, GA on April 8.

Bad news is that Donington first stop is Baltimore.

Anyone else have a Defender delivery at either of these ports?

I assume these boats will be skipping Baltimore for the near future

I was worried about this for my D90. Build date is 4/12 and I’m in the NE.

My Defender 90 S went thru Baltimore last week – LR dock is on south side of Bridge collapse so do problem.

After leaving Baltimore my Defender off landed at BRUNSWICK on 04-14.

Now at the BRUNSWICKLand Rover Vehicle Processing Center for Side Steps, US Soft Ware updates and QC.

Then to Jacksonville LR Dealer via Truck.

Dowes anyone know the name of LR contracted Truck Company so I can tract delivery using my VIN?
