Hi all- first post! I have a 2024 110 SE arriving in November. Haven’t seen a single post about it!

Its a P500* V8 (495 HP) and is able to be optioned with ladder and roof rack. I’m guessing it is a slight detune of the engine….but seems to me the best of both worlds! Anyone else have one on order? Has anyone received one yet?

I haven’t heard anything about the P500 engine variant….it seems to be offered in the 130 as well. I’m wondering if there is a chip or easy way to tune it to P525 spec. Any insight on this model is appreciated!

Defender 110 V8 P500 SE is added to the existing powertrain options for the Defender 110 models. The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, offering a compelling combination of performance, cruising refinement and capability and features 493hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. This new powertrain option adds a second V8 offering to the Defender 110 family.

 

First of all, congrats on your order! Second, it's so interesting that there is now a V8 that you have more control over how to build it out. Totally missed this when they announced the V8 was coming to the 130, I had just assumed it was the P525 not something different. I definitely like that you have more ways to option out a Defender with a V8. I checked to see if this SE offered roof rails, but doesn't look like it, although, it seems like you can spec it with the Adventurer Pack which does include a roof rack, so who knows. I ordered a 110 V8 (P525) to replace my 90X that is showing up this weekend. I had been trying to hold out and see if the twin turbo V8 that's in the Range Rover would make it over to the Defender, but it doesn't really seem like it will, except maybe in the SVR which I am hearing is another year or 2 out and will start in the neighborhood of $160k+.

 

Welp….Carpathian Edition came up before my SE and I couldn’t pass this thing up. Gosh this is the most beautiful SUV I have ever seen. Photos truly don’t do the CE justice.
