Default Navigation screen black

Hello, I've had the car since July and have had no issues, but last week I started it up and the nav screen was black - there was a slight glow, so it was on, but completely black. I tried to reset it by holding the power button for about 20 seconds while in park, but it didn't help. I shut the car off overnight and the next day it worked. Tonight I had the same issue where it was blank. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it? Thanks

Thanks. Looks like there's no remedy. I have an appointment in November to have the dealership look at it.

Please share what you learn. It's only happened twice to me. I'm hoping it fixed itself. Not a fan of dealer service departments.

My remedy for Black Touchscreen at Startup:
Defender 2024

Turn car off, exit, lock vehicle.
(I waited about 20 minutes while doing something more important, but maybe less time will work also.)
Unlock, start car. Welcome screen functions.

Manual and Youtubers offers reset routine using radio off button, but it did not work.

yes, that's been the only way i could fix it. The dealership did something to mine, back in december and the next day, the screen was black. I haven't had time to bring it back in to get it replaced. The radio reset thing doesn't work.

This is, unfortunately, happening to me on my brand new 2024 110. It has under 1000 mileson it and has happened about half a dozen times now.

The radio button reset worked a few times, but it's happened again and I can't get the screen back.

Is there any alternative? This really sucks.

I don't know of a "solution."

If it's any encouragement, mine happened more in the first 1000 miles than it has in the next 9000.

Now,if it happens, it fixes itself next time I start the vehicle (now I jinxed myself)

For those with the black screen issues, what did your dealer say is the cause of this? Please report your findings. Thank you.

My 2024 110 is doing this too as of this morning. Vehicle only has 1200 miles. Interestingly, this occurred after I used the remote app to run climate. It then asked me to login again. The screen appears to be on, just black. Volume and CarPlay still work with black screen. Software was updated recently. Will see if it magically resets, but will have to schedule dealer service. Power reset did nothing.
