New defender disappointing

I had a 4Runner TRD Pro that I absolutely hated and sold after less than 6 months, but I didn't go on the 4Runner forum and make silly claims about how the truck is objectively bad. The truck wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. And that is why this thread is annoying.
"Delicate"? Actually, no. It's torsional rigidity is 29,000Nm/degree - More than 3x that of a ladder frame chassis and one of the most structurally rigid platforms on sale today (excluding supercars based carbon fiber monocoque tubs).
"Not an off roader"? What the hell kind of off roading are you doing?

I have only read good reviews on the new “Defender”,anyway after a half an hour test drive I picked up my 110 SE last June.I thought this would be a vehicle I would grow into ,like my Puma 90 that I sold to buy the new one. With every day I regret buying this sheep in wolfs clothing so I tried to sell it back to the main stealer but they offered me £15k less than I paid.
I’ve had LR’s for the last fifteen years and would have classed myself a LR man,but this one falls more into a proper Discovery category ,it’s not by any means a Defender, not even close as it’s way to sophisticated and delicate.
Anyway thought I’d vent and post an alternative view .

I’m not sure why there’s so much hate for the OP. If he didn’t like the Defender so be it. I’m ok with seeing an less than positive post. I would like a like clarification on what specific off road things it couldn’t do. I’m still waiting for mine to get offloaded from the ship but I’d like to have a realistic expectation of capability and not just the positive stuff.

They can dislike the vehicle...that's their prerogative. In terms of valid complaints, the post is surely lacking.

Hey Srt, not sure if this is a click & bait post but regardless, I think it should be more accurately titled "New Defender - Very Disappointed in Myself". It does not take a test drive to figure out the new Defender is NOT a direct replacement for the old body-on-frame Defender. As others have said, your comments are so vague and misleading I have not idea why you thought it worth posting.
If I were in your position I would have gone straight to Jeep and bought a $35K Wrangler--then I could take the doors off and go do some rock crawling. The Wrangler is definitely closer to the old Defender than the new one. Better yet, why not buy an old Defender? You should get exactly what you want then!
Still, you got a lot of clicks!...

Troll? 😂😂😂,well sorry if anyone disagrees with my opinion ,but, that’s all it is same as yours.
So I can take it that I am the only one who is unhappy with their new Defender? If so that’s cool and maybe there are a few problems with mine, and hopefully the dealer will rectify these next week.
Im not saying this vehicle isn’t off-road capable ,I’m sure it is,I guess it’s that I think the bodywork / trim is too nice/ delicate for anything but road driving.
