Actually it provides impact protection from those threats that you mentioned but you are right again I don’t have them around

These aftermarket companies are laughing all the way to bank, as they haul in wheelbarrows of cash from people bolting on every possible contrivance out there, which serve to make the vehicle heavier, handle worse, lower the gas mileage efficiency, and in some cases make it look butt-ugly. I’ve passed a few on the road laden down with so much junk that will rarely be used, making it look like a sideshow at a carnival. To each his own.

I hear you but I don’t think the carbon gas door does any of that. Cool mod for those that dig it.
