Keep it simple people. Coils, standard diff, P300. These trucks will out drive most of us off-road in their most basic trim. Reliability is a pleasant side effect!

You do what's good for you, I'll be doing what's good for me.

Side note I see you're in Destin area - I've got a place on 30A, and there is only one place that will work on my Defender and it is in SRB, otherwise Mobile was closest dealer. Is that where you went?

will be performing a diff fluid change on my 2020 p400 as the knocking is getting annoying. I suspect the clutch packs are kaput so I lined up a replacement E diff found locally while I sort this one out with better quality parts. Some things that really bother me regarding this is. Its common.... A lot of broken Range Rover ediffs out there. And theres no way to service this assembly--theres no manuals, no information, nothing from JLR.

on a more positive note, a harbor freight opened recently.

going to use ravenol MDF for this oil change. reusing the plugs but cleaning and using thread sealer.

Wish me luck.

Did also a premature diff oil change at 30000 K mls. Ravenol MDL. ( buy 3 cans than you can perform twice an diff oil change )

Thats what I did(3L). How's that been working out for you so far? They have an excellent Low viscosity brake fluid thats compatible with JLR. Very competitive pricing

Very competitive and normal available, the Castrol BOT720 was expensive and difficult to get.
Payed $ 18,- / L incl. shipping. It takes 1.6 L for a oil change. So next time I'am a little short and use 0.2 from the old oil.
No experience with the brake fluid but I suppose it will be good and save to use.
Christian from LR time on YouTube uses also Ravenol on the Disco 3/4

The ediff fluid is very exacting. as are the clutches apparently

so long as Diff fluid meets the same exacting spec it’s all good.

I’ve only used OEM in the one rear eDiff fluid change I did. Oil was as black as the pits of hell. I’m due another in a bit.

I think every 25k miles is what is reasonable on theses delicate high price items.

My thinking is based on zero data.

Brake fluid. DOT4. OEM is the same specs as any DOT4. Price is comparable so I have OEM on hand.

Gavin now you’ve got me thinking I should change my rear locking diff oil now that I’m at 30K miles. Hmmm.... fun Thanksgiving project.
